![]() I have re-installed the TD-30 driver twice, still the same result. The kick drum and the snare are correct, but everything else is off or playing hi-hat. And no matter what I change, it still happens the same way. When I hit Tom 1 on the TD-30, I see "D2 127" register in Midi Monitor for both note on and off.īut.the hi-hat open sound plays when I hit it. I have the insert listening for midi port 10, which is where the TD-30 is sending data. I loaded Pro Tools Ultimate and Addictive Drums 2, and checked the mapping between the expected notes for the drum kit pieces (e.g., Tom 1 open hit is D2). Verified MIDI data is being received by the Mac. Just picked up a new MacBook Pro (MacOS 10.15 Catalina 10.15.5) and Focusrite 18i8 interface and connecting a TD-30 via USB through a T3 hub. I am getting incorrect sounds coming back from AD2 when the MIDI input and the map seem to both say the right one should play. Remember that note value and enter it into the note data for the aux port 1 data in MegaDRUM Manager.I haven't posted here in a long time, trying to be thorough. (on my system I get note 47) You will see the note value in midi monitor on “IN” in the bottom of the dialog. Click on the XTRA A sound and see which midi note it is assigned to.you will see 4 different sounds on right side.If you click on the xtra sound on the left side. ![]() How to assign a AD instrument to a input port on MD.When executing the AD.EXE…the plugin will be loaded directly. Copy the savihost.exe to this directory and then just rename the savihost.exe to the actual VST.DLL name, example: If the dll is named ad.dll rename the savihost.exe to ad.exe. In this case you search for the location of your drumplugin dll file. Recommendation…if you want a very straight forward VST host client and only use one DRUM plugin, you can use the light version of VSTHOSTs called SAVIHOSTs.You should now be able to hear the sound….Use 38 for all note entrys and use it on your working input channel. For an example the snare…where the head trigger use note 38. You will see note mappings for all the drums…so steal one of the drums note settings. So just place the ADMap file here…You will then be able to see this midimap in AD/BEATS dialog and you can select your preset under AD Map Preset. You can use my settings MegaDRUM55.ADMap and drag that to the \documents\addictive drums\user maps\.( main menu -devices and then audio) Please use a ASIO driver from your sound card vendor (Asioall drivers will make you depressed) to get the optimal performance and lowest latency. Please select soundcard in VSTHosts – You should be able to see your sound card.Yes you do it on the midi symbol and the select the MegaDRUM First set the global midi input channel:Ĭlick on the menu devices – and then menu…and select Megadrum Midi Port 2 on the midi input. In some cases the input port needs to be set also on the iVST – In our case Addictive DRUMs. Use it to find inspiration or write all new music. You need to connect AD to receive midi information from VSTHosts. All Presets now include a MIDI preview to let you hear the preset played as the sound designer imagined. (Main menu – Midi) You can now use the MegaDRUM Midi Port 1 for MegaDRUM Manager (MDM) at the same time and be able to patch your settings as you hear them in MDM. To send midi note information from your MegaDRUM Device(MD) to VSTHosts please select MegaDRUM Midi Port 2 in VSTHosts. The MIDI Out isn't need in this case and is probably just complicating matters. The MIDI from you e-kit should go straight to AD and make a sound. Simply add addictive drums to the rack, make sure the channel is selected and play something on the e-kit. I have tried to collect my experince setting up these systems to work in optimal way. But I think there is a much easier way to do what you want to do. To configure and make Addictive Drum(AD), VSTHosts(VH) or the lighter Savihost(SH) togheter with MegaDRUM(MD) and MegaDRUM Manager (MDM) require some knowledge.
